Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Fabbr, LLC ("Fabbr," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you create an account, shop or sell on the Fabbr marketplace, request quotes, join our launch list, or otherwise interact with us. We keep it plain and honest, because that is how we want to treat the makers and customers in our community.

1. Information We Collect

We collect:

• Information you give us: your name and email address when you create an account or join our launch list, and the contents of any message you send us or a maker through the site.
• Marketplace activity: your orders, quote requests, the 3D model files you upload for quoting, saved addresses, favorites, and reviews. Uploaded models stay private to you and the makers who quote or fulfill your job.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are never stored on Fabbr's servers.
• Maker details: if you sell on Fabbr or apply to the Founding Maker program, your name, email, mobile phone number, location, and the business, equipment, and materials information you share during onboarding.
• Usage and device information: basic analytics and advertising data about how our site is used (pages viewed, general location, device and browser type), collected through cookies and similar technologies to help us improve the site and run our marketing. Whether this runs by default or only after you accept depends on where you are; see Cookies, Analytics & Advertising for the details and your choices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Run the marketplace: generate your quotes, process your orders and payments, pay makers, and connect you with the maker fulfilling your job.
• Send transactional messages about your account and activity, such as order updates, quote replies, and receipts.
• Send you periodic updates and marketing email where you have opted in.
• Review maker onboarding and Founding Maker applications, and respond to your messages, including by text message to the mobile number you provide where you have agreed to be contacted that way.
• Operate, secure, and improve our website and services.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising cookies that share limited activity data with partners like Google and Reddit to measure and run our marketing; under some laws (such as California's) this can count as "sharing." You can opt out at any time, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals. See Your Choices & Rights and Cookies, Analytics & Advertising.

3. Email, Text & Communications

Transactional email about your account, orders, and payments is part of using Fabbr and always sends. Activity email (quote replies, messages, reviews) is yours to control from your account's notification settings. Marketing email is opt-in: joining our launch list or checking the marketing box opts you in, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe. Makers who give us a mobile number and opt in may get texts about onboarding and launch; reply STOP to any text to opt out. Message and data rates may apply to texts.

We use trusted providers to deliver these messages for us: Omnisend for marketing email and text messaging, and Resend for transactional email. They process your contact details only to deliver these communications on our behalf.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only in limited circumstances:

• Makers you buy from receive what they need to fulfill your order: your name, your shipping address when something ships, your uploaded model files for the job, and your messages to them. Makers may not use this information for anything else.
• Service providers who help us run Fabbr, for example Stripe (payments), Clerk (sign-in and accounts), Amazon Web Services (file storage), PostHog (product analytics), Omnisend (email and text messaging), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting and privacy-friendly analytics), under agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us.
• Advertising partners: when advertising cookies are active (see Cookies), partners such as Google and Reddit receive limited activity data through their tags to help us measure and run our ads. You can opt out at any time as described in Your Choices.
• Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Fabbr, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers, if Fabbr is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You are in control of your information. You may:

• Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message.
• Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text.
• Accept or decline non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) in our cookie banner, and change your choice anytime through the Cookie Preferences link in our footer.
• Opt out of advertising and "sharing" at any time by declining non-essential cookies. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out, so if your browser sends it we treat it as a decline automatically.
• Choose which activity emails you receive in your notification settings.
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
• Depending on where you live, exercise additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

6. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, in three groups:

• Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice. These always run and are not affected by the choices below.
• Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used (pages viewed, general location, device and browser) so we can improve it. We use PostHog for product analytics and Omnisend for email-related tracking. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to measure performance; those are privacy-friendly and do not use cookies.
• Advertising cookies let us measure and run marketing campaigns. Through Google Tag Manager we may load advertising tags such as Google and Reddit, which set cookies and share limited activity data with those partners to measure conversions and show relevant ads.

Your control depends on where you are. In regions that require opt-in consent (such as the EU and UK), analytics and advertising cookies run only after you accept them in our banner. Elsewhere, including the US, they run by default, but you can decline at any time through the Cookie Preferences link in our footer, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Whatever you choose, essential cookies keep working and we do not sell your personal information for money.

7. Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

Fabbr is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Fabbr grows and as our services launch. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
